After taking four months off from painting to focus on my health, this was the first painting I created when I finally felt ready to get back to it.

I had a lot of self doubt after being away for so long. I kept comparing myself to other artists and feeling like I was behind. I had to remind myself that it’s me vs. me and that I’m allowed to go at my own pace.

I couldn’t let another month pass without picking up my paintbrush again. So, I decided to end August “On A High Note”. 

This painting is a little reminder to celebrate where you are, how far you’ve come, and to not let self doubt take away from that.
